Visit from the Sophienburg Museum

The ladies from the Sophienburg Museum came to visit us during our New Braunfels history unit. They brought artifacts that belonged to the German settlers that immigrated from Braunfels, Germany. The kids really enjoyed hearing about what the Germans brought with them and seeing what small amount of items they were able to bring with them on their trip across the Atlantic Ocean. Below are pictures of some of the items they brought to show the kids.
