The ladies from the Sophienburg Museum came to visit us during our New Braunfels history unit. They brought artifacts that belonged to the German settlers that immigrated from Braunfels, Germany. The kids really enjoyed hearing about what the Germans brought with them and seeing what small amount of items they were able to bring with them on their trip across the Atlantic Ocean. Below are pictures of some of the items they brought to show the kids.

These pictures are a few weeks old, but I thought they were cute and wanted to make sure you all got the chance to see them. The kiddos were so excited when the playground was ready to be used. They felt like they were teased for a couple of weeks because they could see it, but not touch it. We had to make sure it was completely safe for the kids to play on. Now, they can't get enough of it!
